Flash Butt Welders

Based on the Doosan DX160/170 Series excavator, the Philmor Model DX160RW All Terrain Mobile Welder ( ATMW) combines the functional flexibility of a road/rail vehicle with the ability to perform high quality welds in an often challenging railway environment.

The DX160RW road/rail conversion is used as a “transporter” machine to create the ATMW system, incorporating a Holland and Co Model K-922 Flash Butt Welder.

The ATWM is now also available on the latest Doosan DX170 Series excavator base machine

Available ancillary equipment includes a weld testing/bending machine and lining up equipment.

A Doosan 170 modified to take a Holland Flash Butt Welding Head to create an All Terrain Mobile Welder (ATMW). This unit is complete with a "Knuckle Boom" and "Mini Dipper" for better control and cab roof mounted radiators to allow it to work in the extremely hot areas of Northern and Western Australia
